Investing in animal control and services is vital for promoting public safety and maintaining the quality of life in Havelock. By providing funds to improve these services, we can better manage pet populations, ensure responsible pet ownership, and address issues related to stray animals. Properly funded animal control not only benefits the animals but directly impacts community safety, reducing potential conflicts between pets and residents, and fostering a more harmonious living environment. Additionally, the K9 program is an invaluable asset to the Havelock Police Department.

K9 Program Support
​K9 units play a crucial role in various law enforcement functions, including search and rescue operations, drug detection, and crowd control. Funding is needed to support the training and care of these highly skilled dogs and their handlers, ensuring they have the best resources available for efficient service. These K9s are not just pets; they are vital partners in maintaining peace and safety within our city. Promoting community involvement is a cornerstone of our mission to support Havelock’s law enforcement programs. Engaging citizens in these initiatives helps foster a sense of ownership and responsibility among community members. Animal Control

The Havelock Animal Control is tasked with ensuring the safety and well-being of animals in our city. Their commitment to rescuing, sheltering, and finding loving homes for abandoned or neglected animals is commendable, but they rely heavily on the support of local organizations and compassionate individuals like you. Your contributions can help provide food, medical care, and shelter for animals in need, ensuring they receive the love and attention they deserve.
Community Education
To support the Havelock Police Department by providing funds to purchase equipment, necessities, programs and projects not fully funded or budgeted by the City of Havelock, to include Animal Control & Services and the Havelock Police Department K9 program. To promote community involvement in support of the City of Havelock’s law enforcement programs consisting of both the Animal Control Department and the K9 Unit. Public education and safety with the enhancements of these services is beneficial to control the pet and animal population and will enhance the success of crime prevention in the City of Havelock.
